It’s been a while since my last post. I find it real funny
how life moves unexpectedly.
So I finished the rear
axle and breaks. I rebuilt the front right steering knuckle (new Dana 44 short
front axle, wheel bearings seals).
The replacement Body panels and weather striping came in, so
welding soon.
I have all of the
rubber and solid brake line so I will finish the brakes next. The metering
valve, master cylinder and power booster and a few brass joints are the only old
pieces left. AKA I almost have new brakes. I am trying to referb the fuel gage
sending unit. Removing the old sending unit and cleaning out the Gas Tank is
proving to be an adventure.
New skills from the past few weeks.
Sand Blasting
Packing wheel bearings (with grease)
Identifying 400 series Dodge engines
It’s taking me longer
than I thought to get this far. The last five or so days was unexpectedly but
not regrettably spent with family. My long lost or is it well traveled sister
from Australia
is in town for last week and this one.
